Dr. David Dolan:
Dr. Dolan has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 25 years. After reading "All Creatures Great and Small" by James Herriot as a child, he decided that he wanted to spend his life helping pets to be as healthy as possible. That was his goal and so he put his nose to the grindstone and worked hard to live his dream. He graduated from Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine and after a number of years, he bought a veterinary practice in Spring, Companion Animal Hospital. After a few years he was ready to expand his horizons and bought some land near The Woodlands where he planned on building a large free-standing hospital and boarding facility. So many hurdles got in the way that he thought that he would never fulfill his dream of having a free-standing practice, but eventually opportunities started to become available and now he is the proud owner of Creekside Animal Hospital!
Dr. Dolan's favorite part of being a veterinarian is having the opportunity to play with the puppies and interact with the dogs and cats. Preventative medicine is where he put energy into his work. He wants to help prevent problems before they occur and diagnose them as early as possible, so that his patients can live a longer and happier life.
When not at work, and now that he has access to nature at work, Dr. Dolan enjoys Birdwatching. He not only enjoys watching the birds, he enjoys photographing them. His photographs will be posted on his blog, DDolan New Birder , in the clinic, as well as possibly on the sign out front. He has travelled all over the state of Texas to see a large number of birds. What he really likes is to show people exotic looking birds that he sees nearby and watch their reactions to what they are missing out in their own yards.
