Dr. David Dolan:

Dr. Dolan has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 30 years.  After reading "All Creatures Great and Small" by James Herriot as a child, he decided that he wanted to spend his life helping pets to be as healthy as possible.  That was his goal and so he put his nose to the grindstone and worked hard to live his dream.  He graduated from Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine and after a number of years, he bought a veterinary practice in Spring, Companion Animal Hospital.

After a few years he was ready to expand his horizons and bought some land near The Woodlands where he planned on building a large free-standing hospital and boarding facility.  So many hurdles got in the way that he thought that he would never fulfill his dream of having a free-standing practice, but eventually opportunities started to become available and now he is the proud owner of Creekside Animal Hospital!

Dr. Dolan's favorite part of being a veterinarian is having the opportunity to play with his patients..  Preventative medicine is where he put energy into his work. He wants to help prevent problems before they occur and diagnose them as early as possible, so that his patients can live a longer and happier life.

When not at work,  Dr. Dolan enjoys Birdwatching, photography, camping, and travelling around the state.    He has worked hard to get better at photography to the point that he is now photographing everything from the tiny insects to the galaxies of the universe.  He recently drove almost 3000 miles to get an amazing picture of the solar eclipse, his favorite picture so far!  What he really likes is to show people exotic looking birds that he sees nearby and watch their reactions to what they are missing out in their own yards.

Below is the picture described above.  For more pictures, click on this link to my photo albums.
